Designed in collaboration with Dr. Wally Wallace, The 56 captures the warmth and singing quality of the 1950s “cool school,” combining retro-cues with cutting edge technology. 1956 was an amazing year for jazz. The emerging west coast “cool school” was reinventing the jazz aesthetic and redefining saxophone tone. Records from Art Pepper, Bud Shank and Paul Desmond revealed the power and nuance of the tenor saxophone, captivating a new generation of jazz listeners. The 56 will feature: Gentle rollover baffle improves response and projection Straight side walls that extend from a medium chamber, giving added core to your sound. The updated 56 marries the best qualities of the 56 Mk. I and 56 Mk. II.

To return your product, please send an email to info@windycitywoodwinds.com requesting a return within 30 days of receiving your product. You will be sent a shipping label and once we receive your product in good condition, you will be refunded minus a 15% cleaning and restocking fee. Custom engraved mouthpieces cannot be returned. Any FDM mouthpiece that breaks within a year of purchase will be replaced at the cost of shipping.

All mouthpieces ship free with USPS First Class Mail domestically by default. Faster shipping options are available for both domestic and international orders for the USPS calculated rate at checkout. International orders may be subject to local customs/excise tax. It is the responsiblity of the buyer to pay such fees if they apply. In rare cases, additional shipping costs may apply for countries with abnormly high shipping rates. You will be contacted by email if this applies.
